CRC provides caring and competent comprehensive mental health services for children, families and young adults up to age 24.

Childhood can be a time of wonder and happiness, and being a parent can be an incredible experience full of joy and growth. But sometimes it isn’t easy being a kid – and it’s hard being a parent too. For over 30 years, Children’s Resource Center has been helping children, teenagers, and their families find their way through the rough times.

We offer a wide range of services from individual to family counseling, parenting classes, after-school therapeutic program (“partial hospitalization”), psychiatric services for children who may need medication, and in-home visits by clinicians.

CRC offers prevention programming to keep problems from starting. We make services more convenient by offering programming in schools, in addition to those held in our home office in Bowling Green. We also host a school run by the Wood County Educational Service Center for kids who have emotional barriers to learning.

Our clinicians are highly trained in evidence-based trauma interventions including training in The Sanctuary Model of Trauma-Informed Care, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS).

At the core of our work is the belief that children deserve getting the proper support and care they need to live. Family, medical needs, school, community, and friends are all essential, and they have to work together to create the healthiest environment for a child. It is important to offer help as soon as possible if a child seems to be struggling. We strive to provide the highest level of service that is affordable, delivered with compassion, and designed to maximize the child’s safety and future happiness.
