CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Under the administrative direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Clinical Director provides oversight of the agency’s clinical services.  The Clinical Director has the opportunity to cultivate progressive clinical services and continuously grow the agency’s efforts to best serve our clients. 

The Clinical Director will have the opportunity to work with and oversee a talented clinical leadership group as they direct their programs.  Our programs include Early Intervention, Outpatient (including individual/family/group counseling, crisis services and Mobile Response Stabilization Services, Pharmacologic Management, School-based Services, Home-based Services, Day Treatment and Residential Treatment. 

The Clinical Director will oversee Performance Improvement activities of the agency, and will participate in oversight of compliance activities as related to the clinical services. 

 

Qualifications 

Minimum qualifications for Clinical Director: 

  • Masters’ degree with independent licensure and supervision status 
  • Supervisory skills and experience 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the provision of mental health services 
  • Program development experience 
  • Experience working in the trauma-informed model of care (knowledge of Sanctuary Model a plus) 

Satisfactory criminal records check as required by Ohio Revised Code. Additional preferred qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of performance improvement data analytics and planning 
  • Knowledge of community mental health and the ability to implement a full community approach 
  • Experience working with schools and other child-serving professionals and systems  
  • Experience working with multi-problem youth including seriously emotionally disturbed and/or abused/neglected youth 
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in youth Residential Treatment 
  • Knowledge of Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services requirements 
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and accreditation process 

Knowledge of licensing laws as put forth by various applicable State of Ohio licensing boards.  Physical demands: 

  • Fully participate in physical restraint of clients when necessary 
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to ten pounds 
  • Occasionally required to run, lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. 

Job Responsibilities 

Supervises and coordinates CRC’s clinical services and programs, including assignment of workloads, monitors, trains and evaluates staff performance and services; and, responsibility for the assessment and treatment of children received these services 

Actively advocates for and participates in agency’s clinical programs including growth of existing programs and development of new programs as determined by appropriate needs assessments 

Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, plans and implements programs designed to prevent and/or reduce the occurrence of mental health and substance abuse problems among youth, and to deliver high quality clinical services to underserved populations 

Actively participates in and contributes to interagency service planning 

Actively participates in local, regional and statewide service advocacy and development 

Provides consultation and training to community agencies, organizations and child-serving professionals regarding child/adolescent/family mental health issues 

Represents the Children’s Resource Center at local, regional and statewide levels 

Provides oversight for and coordination of agency’s Performance Improvement activities 

Participates in the planning and implementation of needs assessment and program development evaluation activities, and participates in applied research activities for purposes of service evaluation 

Provides after hours on-call emergency clinical services oversight 

Provides clinical services to youth and their families including assessment, individual/group/family therapy, parent training and education, crisis intervention 

Possesses specialized knowledge and skills to understand growth and development in youth to apply appropriate range of needed interventions 

Serves on the agency’s Executive Team and Leadership Team

MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST

Full-time position; responsibilities include mental health assessments, individual and family counseling and crisis intervention for children and adolescents in short-term crisis stabilization and outpatient settings.

Master’s degree and Ohio Licensure in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family, or license in Psychology required.

SCHOOL BASED THERAPIST

Work in a School-Based setting, part of a dynamic School-Based team and innovative mental health agency, partnering with school districts throughout Wood County.

Provide assessment, counseling, crisis intervention and referrals to children and adolescents and their families, addressing a wide range of emotional and mental health needs. Collaborate with school administration and teachers to create a significant impact in the school setting and emotional/mental wellness for your clients and their families.

Ohio licensure for Social Work, Counselor, Psychologist, or Marriage and Family Therapist required.

VAN DRIVER

Part time; Job duties include providing transportation to and from the agency.

Must possess a valid Ohio driver license and excellent driving record, and undergo a criminal investigation background check and drug/alcohol test.

Must be over 25 years old.

Full-time 9 month (academic year) school-based position at an innovative children’s mental health agency, partnering with a local Wood County school district.

Responsibilities include engagement of families, collaboration with school administrators, providing linkage to resources, assisting to address barriers to school success and access to other supportive services, and collaboration between school and families.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in human services, education, social work, counseling or related field.  License appreciated but not required.

Full time position; Provides range of services for high-risk, multi-problem transition age client/families including case management services, treatment planning, parent education, interventions with transition age youth and young adults and crisis assistance.

BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST

Full time, part time, and relief work positions providing direct care and treatment to youth with behavioral and emotional needs in a short-term residential treatment setting.

Available position working third shift for 16-32 hours per week in a short-term residential treatment setting. 

Hours vary with evenings, weekends, and holidays included.

Bachelor’s degree or appropriate experience in human services, education, or related field required.

Knowledge of trauma theory and interventions preferred. Experience with youth very important.

Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Must be able to pass BCI/FBI and drug testing.
