MOBILE RESPONSE STABILIZATION SERVICE PROVIDER

Who we are:

The Children’s Resource Center has been serving the community of Wood County, Ohio for over 40 years. We are a team of dedicated professionals providing child-centered, family-focused mental health and co-occurring mental health/substance abuse treatment services to the youth of Wood County and their families. We provide a full continuum of trauma-focused care using the Sanctuary Model. This approach emphasizes minimizing impact of trauma on clients, but also addresses the importance of understanding the impact of the work on staff. With an emphasis on collaboration and open communication, staff are provided support and encouragement of self-care, which in turn can have a positive impact on staff morale.

MRSS Provider – The Children’s Resource Center is recruiting a full-time MRSS provider. Our Mobile Response Stabilization Services (MRSS) is a program designed to prevent hospitalizations and out of home placements for youth when they or their families are experiencing a mental health crisis. Services are provided in the community, including in the home or school settings and include an initial crisis intervention and can also include follow-up stabilization services in the weeks that follow the initial crisis intervention. As part of the MRSS team, you will work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative and supportive environment.

This position includes specific training in crisis intervention and the MRSS model, supervision and consultation.

Must have passion and commitment to working with youth and families in the community, and an Ohio license in social work, counseling or MFT. Bachelor’s degree with a license required, Master’s degree with a license preferred. Additionally, this position requires having reliable transportation, as this role requires travel on a daily basis (mileage reimbursement is included).

PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST / MOBILE RESPONSE STABILIZATION SERVICE (MRSS)

$1500 SIGN ON BONUS!!

Our Peer Support Specialist provides community-based mentoring and assistance for youth and families following behavioral health crisis services.  The Peer Support Specialist will also:

  • assist in identifying resources, supports and services based on youth and family needs;
  • work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary members of CRC’s MRSS team as well as team members from other agency programs;
  • promote coordination and linkage among similar providers;
  • coordinate or assist in crisis interventions and stabilization as needed;
  • conduct outreach;
  • attend and participate in treatment team meetings; and
  • document services in the client record.

Peer Support Specialist must have:

  • lived experience as a youth with social, emotional, developmental, health and/or behavioral health needs and have participated successfully in mental health treatment

OR

  • must have a lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a child who has been involved with behavioral health services and other systems of care.

Minimum education:  high school diploma or GED

Must possess Ohio Peer Recovery or NAMI Certification. Partial completion of the certification program will be considered if applicant is committed to completion of the certification process within thirty (30) days of hiring.

Applicant should have a working knowledge of Wood County area, willingness to drive throughout the county, valid drivers’ license, acceptable driving record, and operational/insured vehicle.

Applicant will also be required to satisfactorily complete criminal records and background check.

CPR and first aid training will be provided through CRC within first two weeks of employment.

Applicant must be available to work variable hours including evenings, weekends.

JFS STABLIZATION

JFS Stabilization – Full time position at an innovative children’s mental health agency, partnering with Wood County JFS. Duties include home visits, coordination with community providers, and family support, assessment and crisis intervention.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in human services, education, social work, counseling or related field. Ohio licensure for Social Work, Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist required.

ON-CALL RN/LPN

$500 SIGN ON BONUS!!

The Children’s Resource Center is currently recruiting part-time on-call nurses to provide after-hours medical services to residents in our eight bed Residential Treatment Program.  Services range from phone consultation to onsite medication administration, medical emergency response, and admission/discharge assistance as needed.  If you are an RN or LPN interested in making a difference for the youth of Wood County while working a flexible schedule with daytime weekday hours free, consider this opportunity with the Children’s Resource Center!

BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST / RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT PROGRAM

**$500 Sign on Bonus**

BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST: Full time, part time, and relief work positions providing direct care and treatment to youth with behavioral and emotional needs in a short-term residential treatment setting. Hours vary with evenings, weekends, and holidays included. Bachelor’s degree or appropriate experience in human services, education, or related field required. Knowledge of trauma theory and interventions preferred. Experience with youth very important. Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Must be able to pass background checks including BCI/FBI and drug testing.
