Day Treatment Group

CRC’s Day Treatment program offers children and adolescents, ages 7-18, opportunities to participate in a variety of group activities that promote safe decision making, social and friendship skill-building, problem solving, conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and positive coping strategies.

Skills Group
A group program offered to children and adolescents who experience severe emotional difficulties and high-risk behaviors. Youth learn and practice skills in a safe therapeutic space, enabling them to apply what they’ve learned in home, school, and community settings.

SPARCS (Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress)
An evidence-based treatment designed to equip adolescents with tools for coping with their responses to current and future stressors that are impacted by past trauma. This group includes education about the impact of trauma and aids in developing coping skills, emotional regulation, and effective communication.

Adventure Therapy
A trauma-informed model that involves active and multi-dimensional experiences that provide opportunities for learning and growth. This includes team problem-solving initiatives, games, projects, and other challenges. Youth learn to collaborate effectively with peers and develop new behaviors and skills that lead to success in their homes, schools, and communities.

Coping Skills/Emotion Regulation Group (summer only)
A group program that provides support for youth facing stressors that have caused general loss of routine and normalcy. This program enhances coping skills and mindfullness to help youth regulate emotions.

ADHD Group (summer only)
An evidence-based program designed to enhance youth’s social interactions through sports skills training and practice. Children are placed in age-matched groups and learn skills in functioning as a group, making friends, and interacting appropriately with adults.

Co-Occurring Disorders Program
A comprehensive treatment program for youth and adolescents struggling with mental health and substance use. This program offers multiple levels of care to meet the needs of each adolescent. Youth receive individual counseling, group counseling, and case management services to address the underlying causes of mental health issues that contribute to substance abuse and high-risk behaviors.

Please note, while we don’t accept direct referrals from parents/guardians for specific programs, every child will receive a comprehensive mental health assessment prior to receiving services. This process is designed to develop a diagnostic forumulation and identify the child’s relevant needs. The mental health assessment forms the basis for all subsequent treatment planning.

Payment and Coverage
All services provided by CRC (excluding Prevention Services) are billed through the client’s insurance. CRC accepts Medicaid and most health insurance plans. No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay. For remaining portions of the client’s bill, funding through the Wood County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board Levy allows us to offer services to Wood County residents under a generous sliding fee scale based on income and household size. Proof of income documentation must be provided to qualify.
