School-Based Services

CRC provides mental health services directly within Wood County school districts, allowing for close collaboration with school staff and parents/guardians/families to address the needs of the whole child more effectively. Services focus on mental health needs such as anxiety, depression, and trauma as well as overcoming emotional, behavioral, and social barriers to academic success.

Behavioral Health Counseling
Licensed staff work to understand why and how to change current maladaptive behaviors and thoughts in youth. They help clients identify and process root causes to increase healthy functioning, improve relationships, and promote positive emotional and behavioral regulation.

Case Management
School-based Case Managers work on skill building and problem solving to reduce disruptive behaviors. Includes assisting clients with emotional regulation and ensuring basic needs are met at home and in all areas of life.

Please note, while we don’t accept direct referrals from parents/guardians for specific programs, every child will receive a comprehensive mental health assessment prior to receiving services. This process is designed to develop a diagnostic forumulation and identify the child’s relevant needs. The mental health assessment forms the basis for all subsequent treatment planning.

Payment and Coverage
All services provided by CRC (excluding Prevention Services) are billed through the client’s insurance. CRC accepts Medicaid and most health insurance plans. No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay. For remaining portions of the client’s bill, funding through the Wood County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board Levy allows us to offer services to Wood County residents under a generous sliding fee scale based on income and household size. Proof of income documentation must be provided to qualify.
